Artist Statement


My inspiration for this body of work comes from the current isolation we are experiencing, mourning in isolation vs the act of public mourning and how we process these events and memories. I use art as a translation of experience and observation that derives inspiration from my environment and memories.

Andrea Worthey is an artist and art educator living in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Worthey received her BFA and BS in Art Education, from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Worthey completed her Master of Fine Arts degrees through UW-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts. Her active exhibition record includes shows throughout the United States, Scotland, England, South Korea and Thailand.
